Around 12:50 a.m. on September 20, Traverse City police were dispatched to the Side Traxx bar located in the 500 block of Franklin Street in regards to a physical domestic assault in progress between a husband and wife. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the suspect’s husband who stated that his wife had consumed a large amount of alcohol, became upset with him and, at one point, had punched him in the face several times and attempted to kick him as well. The female suspect, a 30-year-old, was placed under arrest for domestic assault. She resisted officers and attempted to head-butt officers restraining her. Once the officers got the female suspect into the patrol car she kicked out the rear passenger window of the police car. She is currently being held at the Grand Traverse County Jail.
