The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Department responded to a one-vehicle accident at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, October, 13. A vehicle was found partially submerged at the Dock Road boat launch extending from Dock Road in Acme Township. The Coast Guard and local fire personnel assisted the GT Sheriff's Department in checking the water for any occupants that might have been in the vehicle. None were located in or around the submerged vehicle, but at approximately 9:00 a.m. that morning, an 18-year-old Traverse City man was located walking on U.S.-31 North in Acme Township. He was subsequently arrested for operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
