Training Begins for Court's Special Advocates

The Probate & Family Court in Traverse City is holding volunteer training for new Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to work with abused and neglected children who have entered the court system. Program includes 30 hours of training on Michigan law, the child protection system, and the dynamics of abuse and neglect. Training begins this Thurs., Feb. 28, 5:30-8:30 p.m., and runs through April 11. Held at the Robert P. Griffin Hall of Justice (280 Washington). Call Linda Fawcett at 922.4827 to schedule an interview before training begins.
