The third annual Michigan Flintknappers Fall Gathering happens at the powwow grounds in Peshawbestown this weekend. What's flintknapping? The process of making stone tools and arrowheads from flint and chert. The public is invited to come out and watch, ask questions and even give the art of flintknapping a try; extra tools and materials will be on hand. Check it out under the pavilion at the powwow grounds Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The powwow grounds are about four miles north of Suttons Bay, off of M-22. Questions?
