The Traverse City Light & Power board is holding a special meeting tonight to discuss the next steps in its search for a new executive director. The board fired former Executive Director Ed Rice in October, citing issues with trust.

At tonight's meeting the board will hear from local consultant Mary Grover, who it hired to conduct interviews with TCL&P board members, employees and city commissioners about what qualifications and traits the next director should have. The public will also have an opportunity to provide comment.

The meeting will be held in Commission Chambers at the Traverse City Governmental Center (400 Boardman Ave.) and begins at 5:15 p.m.
