The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Celebration at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa on January 25, debuting an entirely new look and feel. Gone are the sit-down tables, replaced by an open-floor seating design much more conducive to mixing and mingling, says the Chamber's Laura Oblinger. During the evening the Chamber will also highlight bright spots in the region's business community in 2012, reveal some "surprises" for 2013, and announce its annual Distinguished Service Award. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in Governor's Hall. Admission is $95 for members before Jan. 15, $100 thereafter; tickets for the general public are $150.
