State Business Leaders Predict Economy Slowdown

Business Leaders for Michigan (BLM), the state’s business roundtable, predicts that Michigan’s economy will be stalled by slower U.S. economic growth over the next year or two. In a survey of member chairpersons, chief executive officers and most senior executives of Michigan's largest companies and universities, only 21 percent said they believe Michigan’s economy will grow over the next six months (compared to 39 percent last quarter). On the bright side: only 5 percent believe it will get worse.
