The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) michiganadvantage.org/Arts has approved nearly $5.7 million in grants to 312 nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, educational institutions and municipalities across the state to support high quality arts programming. Of those, 10 groups are in Traverse City or the surrounding area. The 2013 recipients of more than $277,000 are:

Chairman of the MCACA is Drew Buchholz. Buchholz is also a charitable gifts officer and director of external relations at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
