Fourteen local Red Cross volunteers, who recently returned home after deployments to the East Coast following Hurricane Sandy, will share their experiences with the community. The American Red Cross of Northwest Michigan is hosting an open house on Tues., Feb. 5, 5-7 p.m., at its office at 735 S. Garfield in Traverse City. At 6 p.m., there will be a formal briefing giving a 3-month update on the response and how the Red Cross is continuing to help the clean-up and rebuilding efforts.
