The Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) honored its 2012 award recipients at its annual dinner last night. They are: Good Neighbor Award – Carol Karas, Exit Northern Shores Realty; Affiliate of the Year – Colleen Mageau, Northwestern Bank; Rookie of the Year – Steve Scheppe, Homewaters, LLC; President's Award – Matthew Dakoske, RE/MAX Bayshore Properties; Top Producer (office) – Real Estate One, Randolph St., Traverse City; Top Producer – Donald Fedrigon, RE/MAX of Elk Rapids; Most Individual Transactions – Mark Hagan, Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors.

TAAR also announced that Kenneth A. Schmidt of Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors has attained the status of "Realtor Emeritus" from the National Association of Realtors in recognition of 40-plus years of membership and a lasting contribution to the real estate profession in the community.

New officers and directors were also named. Leading the TAAR membership in 2013 are incoming President Randy Dye of RE/MAX Bayshore Properties - Benzie and President Elect Meagan Luce of Century 21 Northland.
