Daniel W. Terpsma is the new president & CEO of Northwestern Bank in Traverse City. He succeeds Harry C. "Scrub" Calcutt, who recently announced his retirement. Terpsma brings more than 30 years of financial services experience in Michigan – including more than 20 years in community banking and several senior management positions – to his new role with Northwestern. He has also been appointed to the bank's board of directors.

I had the pleasure to work with Dan though the years in the Grand Rapids area. He was always passionate of his involvement with Junior Achievement in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. He will be a fine addition to the North West Michigan business community.
