New Beginning for Sixth Street Property

July 17, 2012
New Beginning for Sixth Street Property

Familiar with the tan brick, Colonial-style home on Sixth Street between Union and Locust that used to house the National Cherry Festival offices? Massive renovations are underway at the 1940's-built house – but the result will not be the luxury condo units previous owner Northwestern Bank had planned. "Our timing, during a very weak real estate market, particularly in luxury properties, was the deciding factor to sell the property," Northwestern Bank's Bruce Byl tells The Ticker. The property, which was listed for $795,000, is being converted back to a single family home.
