The Cherry Bomb Lacrosse Tournament is returning to Traverse City this summer. Held July 26-28, the competitive event for boys is the largest for the sport in the Midwest – drawing more than 125 teams last year. The 2013 sold-out event expects to bring more than 3,000 players and 10,000 visitors to attend the 3-day competition. Organizers says tournament patrons will spend approximately $3 million locally.
The Cherry Bomb rocks! If you want to see some great lacrosse, check out the games at the Keystone Complex this July. (Get there early - parking is limited!!!!) There are teams from all over the country - Traverse City should be proud to host such a large-scale sporting event which literally brings thousands of people to our town. My son had a blast playing in this tournament. The comraderie and competition amongst the kids was terrific to watch and we are looking forward to the 2013 Cherry Bomb. Go TC!!!
