Maxbauer's Nears 2,000 Pounds of Donated Meat

Maxbauer Market in Traverse City has donated 1,850 pounds of meat to the Northwest Food Coalition, which is distributing it to area food pantries that infrequently receive donations of high-quality protein. The donation results from the market's first Holidays to the MAX eight-week long campaign involving recipe sampling events, specials, an open house and matching financial donations and Facebook "likes" with meat donations. With another $500 from Maxbauer still to be contributed this winter, the market will likely surpass 2,000 pounds of donated meat.
