Leelanau Cheese Building New Home

John and Anne Hoyt of Leelanau Cheese purchased the vacant Suttons Bay Bible Church on M-22 just south of Suttons Bay. The building will be the creamery's new home after renovations that will occur now through summer. The maker of raclette cheese and fromage blanc cheese spread is currently located on the grounds of Black Star Farms.

Congrats John and Anne. Getting back under your own roof is long overdue for the hardest working couple in the county that have defined the world's new model for how to make Raclette. I am thrilled for you. Does taking up residence in sanctified ground mean there will be a holier Swiss cheese coming? I look forward to the new round.

Hi Anne and John,
I remember the beginnings up in Omena. There is always opportunity
to make a good living in the USA and Leelanau County with hard and intelligent work. You are a shining example. Always wishing you the best.

Way to go, John and Anne, how can you go wrong expanding a business on Holy ground and not sinking sand! Also, you have
wonderful neighbors to partner with daily. We'll see you there.

This is wonderful news! Anne and John Hoyt are friends of ours and they make world-class cheese. This is the perfect opportunity and location to really expand upon what they are currently doing so well. All the best going forward and we look forward to helping you remodel!
