Known for his energy and charisma at the podium, TSO Conductor Kevin Rhodes will showcase his musical skills in an arresting piano performance benefitting the Traverse Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Milliken Auditorium. Maestro Rhodes in Concert: An Exhibition of Musical and Visual Artistry will feature works by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Schumann and Beethoven. Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, a virtuosic piece depicting an imaginary tour of an art collection, underscores the program. Complementing the performance: an 'art promenade and auction' featuring fine art by W. Truman Hosner, master plein-air pastel painter, and an Afterglow Reception in the Dennos Museum on the Northwestern Michigan College Campus. Tickets are a $50 donation and can be purchased online at www.traversesymphony.org or by calling 231.947.7120.
