The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Great Start, Great Futures Summit" on Mon., Mar. 18, at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City. The Chamber has been active in the early childhood development issue since 2008, partnering with the TBAISD to support the Traverse Bay/Manistee Great Start Collaborative.

Participants will discuss opportunities to improve early child care in northern Michigan and how it impacts the region's business climate and workforce development. Keynote remarks will be given by Susan Broman of the Michigan Department of Education's Office of Great Start. Pre-registration for the half-day, morning event required here.
