Gov. Snyder "Live" in TC Today

Got a question for the Governor? Rick Snyder will be beamed in live for a town hall meeting today at Northwestern Michigan College's Biederman Building (Rm. LB 38) in Traverse City and will take questions from Traverse City area citizens. The event runs from 6 - 7:15 p.m. and is hosted by State Rep. Wayne Schmidt and State Sen. Howard Walker.

I attended the town hall meeting yesterday expecting to be able to ask a question of the governor. Instead I had to submit my question to Howard Walker and Wayne Schmid's representative for their review. They chose to edit it beyond recognition. So much for democracy. They don't want to deal with their constituents real concerns with the way they are running the state.

Shame on Gov. Snyder for stealing nearly $1.7 BILLION from k-12 education including the SURPLUS in the School Aid Fund. Shame on Gov. DeVos/Snyder for the Freedom to Freeload legislation! How can he be trusted! "We the people" do not believe a word he says. Flip flopping at it's best.

This Governor seems to be very interested in doing all he can for the business community at the same time the average working person has to make up the revenue difference. His comments in the SOS reagarding the right to work legislation were very strange. He should not have signed that without real debate on the issue.

The Chamber of Commerce is nothing but a PAC for the Republican party.. and Slick Rick has become their poster boy!

Where do we start? Right to Work, Educational Achievement Authority, EM law repealed by voters then replaced by legislature, taxes on pensioners, cuts to education, teachers tenure weakened, union negotiation prohibitions, union dues deduction prohibition for teachers, insurance cap for teachers, cyber/charter schools, concealed weapons at schools, "parent trigger" legislation, changing how electoral votes are cast, and lastly, legislation making it harder to recall legislators. They are all tools of the Mackinac Center and Dick DeVos.

What does Govenor Snyder care if union members pay union dues or not. It's the same as belonging to a golf club, fraternity, an association, health spa, manafacturers association or the chamber of commerce. Isn't this just a polite way of saying we should work for less ? the truth is YES !
