It's all well and good to have a potential customer find your business location via Google Maps, but what if they could also come inside? The Street View arm of Google Maps recently launched Google Business Tours to help businesses enhance their Google search presence.
LunaTech3D, a Plymouth, Mi-based company, works with Google and Pure Michigan publishing 360-degree photo tours of business interiors linked directly to Google searches. A Google-certified photographer will be in the area filming qualified businesses in mid-January, specifically focusing on wineries, bars, restaurants and lodging in Leelanau County and on the Old Mission Peninsula. You must have a Google+ Local Page to qualify and need to register in advance. There is a one-time photography and publication fee, but your tour is hosted free by Google. Contact Robert Bloom at 248.767.2705 for more info.
I have seen these google tours popping up all around metro Detroit.
Even the senior apartments and funeral homes are using them. It saved me a lot of time recently when looking for a place for my m-in-law.
