On August 1, the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old Traverse City man on charges of criminal sexual conduct, first degree. The arrest stemmed from an investigation into allegations that the man, a former janitor at the TC East Middle School, had engaged in sexual contact with a then-seventh grader at the school. The incident(s) began on or about July of 2010 and were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on July 22, 2012. The man was arrested without incident and is being held in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
