The Traverse City Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has extended Wednesday markets through October. In recent years, only the Saturday market has gone through October while the Wednesday market ended in September. Vendors have requested that the Wednesday market run through October, and more farmers have extended their growing seasons.
Despite the unseasonably warm March followed by April freezes, local vendors have plenty of apples, squash, pumpkins and many other products for sale at the farmers market. Saturday markets start at 7:30 a.m. and Wednesday markets begin at 8 a.m. Both end at noon.
