Be a Part of Two World-Record Quests

If you've ever wanted to break a world record, you've got two chances this summer. The first, this Wednesday, July 25: The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA is hosting the World’s Largest Marshmallow Roast at 2 p.m. at 3000 Racquet Club Drive in TC. YMCA campers from around the Grand Traverse Region will participate in this event, and the whole community is welcome. To learn more, email Erica Wilson, camp director, or call 231-933-9622. The second, a fundraiser for Suttons Bay Public Schools, is an effort to organize the world's biggest flotilla of canoes and kayaks – 2,000 are needed to break the current record of 1,902 – on Saturday, September 1. Learn more and register here.

Oh, shoot! The info we received from the YMCA stated 2 p.m. Sorry about this miscommunication, and especially about the disappointed roasters!

The actual time was 1:00 to participate in the marshmallow roast. Three disappointed roasters. :(
