An All Aviation Expo will be held this Sat., Jan. 12, 9 a.m. to noon, at the U.S. Coast Guard Hangar (Airport Access Road) in Traverse City. Exhibits include everything that flies – airplanes, glider soaring, ultralights, kite skiing, skydiving, model rocketry and more. Presented by Aviation Explorers Post M-22 of the Grand Traverse Area, who bring extensive backgrounds in aerospace, aeronautics, military and experimental aircraft. Free, RSVP required.

I think this is a great idea. Unfortunately with the required pre-registration it will eliminate those who may see posters that have been put around the community from attending at the last moment. If they see the posters Saturday, they will not be allowed on the base. This is the TSA, and our federal government at work. No clearance, no admission. Too bad.
