The Traverse Symphony Orchestra Civic String Ensembles are holding auditions on Tuesday, September 11 for amateur bass, viola and violin players to join one of two string ensembles: Civic Chamber Strings (ideal for players with at least three years of experience) and Civic Prelude Strings (tailored for players with one to three years of experience). Both groups will perform in three concerts throughout the year. The auditions will run in 10-minute slots from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 222 Cass St. in Traverse City.
