The white chili from Apache Trout Grill was the People's Choice winner at the Downtown Traverse City Chili Cook-Off at the Park Place Dome over the weekend. Nearly 1,600 people attended the 19th annual event, a fundraiser for the Downtown Traverse City Association and the many community events it sponsors throughout the year. Twelve restaurants entered 17 different chili versions into the competition. Other winning concoctions included:
