The Acme Business Association is celebrating its support of Special Olympics Michigan with a business networking and community fundraiser event on Thurs., Jan. 24, starting at 5:30 p.m., at Urhouzz Furniture and Design (4444 U.S. 31 North) in Traverse City. The public is encouraged to come meet association members as well as some of the Special Olympics Michigan athletes. Appetizers and beverages will be served. The Special Olympics State Winter Games return to Traverse City February 5-8 with competitions at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Schuss Mountain at Shanty Creek Resort and Howe Ice Area at the Grand Traverse Civic Center.
