The February campaign of The Father Fred Foundation’s 2012 Frostbite Food Drive was the organization’s most successful food drive ever. According to The Foundation’s Director of Operations Norm Bamberg, individual and corporate donations, along with the successful launch of The Foundation’s first Canstruction-TC event, filled close to three semi trucks with food and staples for The Foundation’s pantry. The Foundation also met the value match challenge of $100,000 with donations of cash and food. The funds will be used to purchase fresh food and supplementary items for the pantry. Last year the food pantry provided more than $850,000 worth of food to some 4,000 local families; this year promises to be even better.
