I would hardly call what Mr. Mitchell received as a bargain or a lucky break. What looks like a deal for $82,000 is going to cost him in the ballpark of $1.5 million to complete including 3 years of unpaid property taxes in the amount of close to $450,000. Is it a surprise or coincidence that the other parties settled and didn't attend the Sheriff's Sale? I think not.

Now that's what I call a bargain. What a lucky break for a guy who started out as an unpaid vendor. He went from the underdog to the overlord in one fell swoop.
